Home Organization Holiday Gift Guide

If you’re still making your holiday shopping list, you might consider adding some of our favorite organization items to your list. With the increasing popularity of home organization shows, almost everyone on your list will likely appreciate the gift of home organization.

1. Label Maker

As you may know, we think labeling is one of the keys to being able to create and, just as importantly, maintain your organization system. Our favorite label maker is the Brother P-Touch Cube Plus. Download the app on your smartphone and use the various templates (or create your own) to make beautiful labels in a variety of styles, sizes, colors, and both horizontal and vertical orientations. Order compatible tape in different widths and colors to give yourself even more options.

2. Air-Tight Container Sets

We are also big fans of decanting, which can save space while making your pantry shelves more elegant. Our hands-down favorite brand of containers are made by OXO. The POP container sets can be a little pricey, but they are extremely well made. If you’re a Costco member, they often offer great deals on a multi-piece set. You can sometimes find individual containers at stores like HomeGoods and TJ Maxx to expand your collection of containers.

3. Water Hyacinth Baskets

Woven water hyacinth baskets provide beautiful storage options for pretty much any space, from pantries to closets. Storageworks is a brand we use in many of our projects because they have a great variety of shapes and sizes and are often reasonably priced. We will often use clip-on basket label holders such as those from Talented Kitchen as a finishing touch and to alert everyone in the household about the contents of each basket.

4. Stackable Jewelry Organizers

Organizing your jewelry in stackable organizers is really a perfect way to make sure to avoid a big, tangled mess of necklaces and to be able to see exactly what you have. These organizers allow each one of your beautiful baubles to have their own discrete space. A particularly good source for these is The Container Store, which offers a variety of sizes and colors. You can either use them as inserts in existing drawers or as stand-alone jewelry boxes.

5. Water Bottle Holders

If your cabinets are overflowing with water bottles you use for workouts or send with your kids to school or soccer practice, stackable water bottle holders will be a game changer. You may worry that these simple stackable pieces may not have the “wow” factor you’re looking for in a gift, but if you add a pretty new insulated bottle, you can take this present to the next level.

Finally, if you’re looking to make an even bigger impact, you can always pair any of these ideas with a gift certificate for professional home organization services. Exceptional professional organizers across the country offer gift cards throughout the year, and especially during the holiday season. Email info@sortstoreandstyle.com if you need a gift certificate for home organization in Naples, Florida.
